Haberdashers School VegTrug

VegTrug Limited donated a large 2m VegTrug earlier this year to Haberdashers School in South East London for the children to use as part of their enrichment program based on "grow your own" and general gardening for kids of all ages from the school.
The VegTrug is part of the Roof Garden project at the school and is an excelent initiative which gives the children a lot of pleasure as well as educating them on where their food comes from.
Haberdashers have since registered with capital growth so are an official food growing space in London number 979!
VegTrug stockists, Camden Garden Centre also donated the compost and some vegetable plants and seeds for use in the school and the children have planted the VegTrug with cos lettuce, oak leaf lettuce, mini sweet corn, tumbling tomatoes and onions.
It is a delight to see the VegTrug product used in this way and we are pleased to have been able to help with this initiative. Our thanks to Peter Hullet at Camden Garden Centre for his support with the project.
Please look out for updates on the project as the children progress with the VegTrug!
