VegTrug Limited successfully challenged a UK based business who had produced a copy product which was in violation of our European Registered Design this week. The business in question also seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable to abuse our registered trademark and purchase advertising in the name of VegTrug and then sell an inferior product to an unsuspecting purchaser.

It seems the product has now been withdrawn from sale although we are monitoring the situation with interest and will continue to do so.

We now have 10's of thousands of VegTrug units sold worldwide and, although we take imitation as a form of flattery in general, when it comes to our livelihood and the 3 years of damned hard work we have put into creating the VegTrug product and brand, we take very seriously any breach of our Design Registrations and Trade Mark around the world. We will not hesitate to take the strongest legal recourse available to us to protect our business.

Customers would be advised to only buy the VegTrug from a stockist listed on our website and make sure that they are buying the original and proven VegTrug. Please note that the VegTrug is branded on the front panel with 'VEGTRUG.COM'. The latest versions are branded with the word 'VEGTRUG'. Our products are rigorously tested and produced under strict quality control. We also ensure that our products are made from sustainable, renewable raw materials and that the timber is treated with a food and vegetable friendly preservative.
