VegTrug - Quality Second to None

Following the launch of the VegTrug we have been delighted with the feedback from both end user customers and our resellers. Of particular note has been the praise for the high quality of the finished product and the packaging on delivery. This quality level was foremost in our mind during the design and manufacturing setup of the VegTrug and we are delighted to follow this through into the production and delivery phases.
This care and attention to detail is paying dividends with many resellers placing new stocking orders for the VegTrug much earlier than expected in 2010.
We thought it might be appropriate to give you an insight into the inspection process for the VegTrug before it leaves the factory.
Once the VegTrugs have been completed the finished products are palletised and readied for loading. At this stage 20 units per container volume are pulled at random as test samples.

Of the 20 units pulled, 4 units are built completely for inspection and the other 16 are checked component by component. This starts with an inspection of the box markings and particularly the bar codes which are read electronically and checked.

The individual pieces each of the sample VegTrugs are then measured to ensure that they are within specific tolerance for size.

The completely built units are checked and photographed to make sure that all pieces fit within tolerance and that no part of the build process has been missed or completed incorrectly.

Even the liners and feet coverings are fitted to ensure correctness.

Instructions and individual components are inspected by hand for correctness, quality and number.

The quality inspection process is carried out by an independent QA Manager who personally prepares and signs the report to the Directors.

Each element of the VegTrug is moisture tested to ensure that the wood is within our tolerance.

Finally two of the sample units are tested for bearing weight. For your reference, the Large VegTrug can bear 329.5kg and the Small VegTrug 150.5kg.

In between shipments the Directors make regular personal visits to the factories to ensure that processes are being adhered to and our quality is assured and at the forefront of all staff at all times.
We do hope that by sharing this information with our customers we will continue to give you confidence to order and stock the VegTrug product which is selling out within centres across the UK and Europe time after time.
